It will cover the development and enforcement of regulations, best practices for monitoring and compliance, and the role of policymakers in ensuring public health, gender considerations and environmental protection. The session will also address sanitary safety planning and the safe use of treated sludge, highlighting strategies for mitigating health risks and maximizing the benefits of sludge as a valuable agricultural resource. Participants will learn about successful implementation examples and the importance of robust regulatory frameworks in promoting the sustainable and safe reuse of wastewater and sludge for irrigation.
