9AWW: The Role of a Conducive Enabling Environment in Enhancing Non-Sewered Sanitation: Lessons from Kenya
The session is led by the Department of Sanitation of the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation and is based on an Enabling Environment Assessment for NSS undertaken by USAID's WASH-FIN 2, work on private sector engagement in NSS being supported by the World Bank’s WRG 2030, and enabling environment work being supported by the Sanitation and Hygiene Fund. Given the increased focus on NSS globally, the findings from Kenya are applicable to many countries of the global South.
