9AWW: Strengthening Sanitation Data Systems in Zambia

This session will explore the specific interventions implemented through the BMGF project in Zambia to enhance sanitation data collection, analysis, and utilization by government working with subnational WASH teams including commercial utilities. Participants will share their experiences and best practices in developing innovative approaches, tools, and capacity development initiatives. By strengthening data systems, Zambia is gaining a clearer understanding of the current state of sanitation services, identifying gaps and challenges, and allocating resources more effectively. This will ultimately contribute to better service delivery to the most vulnerable communities including women and children and to the realization of Agenda 2063's vision of a prosperous, inclusive, and resilient Africa.
