Best practices on Ground water

In light of the great importance of groundwater to Egypt as a non-renewable water resource and one of the most important determinants of its water balance. The best practices and successful models with technical, economic and social returns on groundwater have been monitored, especially in areas that are facing a persistent challenge in the potential of this non-renewable resource, especially in the areas of the western Delta, Al-Moghra and Al-Farafra. A number of companies from those areas have been targeted to participate in this session, during which they will review the challenges that each company has faced until reaching successful models with tangible returns that can be built upon in replicating those experiments and disseminating them on the widest scale, whether in relation to the irrigation systems used, cropping patterns and their relation to the needs of both local and global markets and the extent of their impact on small farmers.
