NWRC-PRIMA project “ConVErting marginal lands of the Mediterranean basin into productive and sustainable agroecosystems using low water demanding Neglected and Underutilized Species VENUS 200

As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance international cooperation, the National Water Research Center (NWRC) of Egypt, in partnership with ELGO-DIMITRA of Greece, will hold a joint session during Cairo Water Week 2025. The session will showcase their collaboration under the PRIMA-funded project on transforming marginal Mediterranean lands into productive agroecosystems using drought- and salinity-tolerant Neglected and Underutilized Species (NUS). This innovative approach supports climate-resilient agriculture, improves soil health, reduces water use, and contributes to food and income security in rural areas.
