Scaling nature-based solutions in the MENA region

The session will present learnings on NBS implementation across the MENA region and models for their planning and delivery. These implementation models blend community co-design, public and private investment, and policy to address pressing challenges of water scarcity, land degradation, and sustainable development for climate resilience. Drawing on regional experiences, participants will identify opportunities to scale nature-based solutions via synergies with key regional processes, including in post-conflict or refugee-hosting settings, and enhance the enabling environment for scaling nature-based solutions equitably through climate change commitments and their implementation. The dialogue aims to catalyze long-term partnerships that embed NbS into sustainable development and green infrastructure planning.
