PS -3 Innovating for Resilience: NWRC’s Legacy and Future in Water Resources Management

In a world increasingly affected by climate variability, population growth, and environmental degradation, traditional approaches to water management are no longer sufficient. The demand for resilient, adaptive, and forward-thinking water governance has never been more urgent. Innovation, technological, institutional, financial, and social, is at the heart of transforming water management systems to withstand present and future challenges. This session will explore how innovations are redefining the landscape of water resources management, enabling data-driven decision-making, real-time monitoring, improved efficiency, and stronger community engagement. From smart infrastructure and predictive analytics to circular water solutions and participatory governance models, these innovations are creating new opportunities for climate resilience and sustainability. In alignment with the overarching theme of CWW 2025, this session will spotlight how cutting-edge innovations are supporting the shift toward more resilient water systems across different regions and sectors. Objectives: - To showcase innovative approaches and emerging technologies that are enhancing the resilience and sustainability of water resources management. The session aims to inspire new partnerships, scale effective solutions, and guide policy development that embraces innovation for long-term water security.
