The Innovation Hackathon for Waterpreneurs, funded by the EU Delegation to Egypt (EUD) and coordinated by CEEBA with ACG as activity partner, is an AI-integrated entrepreneurship journey equipping Egypt’s youth with tools and mentorship to develop sustainable, investable water solutions. The program targets 30–60 students, graduates, postgraduates, and young professionals and culminates in a Final Pitch Day on October 15, 2025 at Cairo Water Week.
Objectives include empowering youth to launch water-focused startups, promoting sustainability, integrating AI into solutions, and building a strong mentorship and incubation ecosystem for future water entrepreneurs across Egypt.
Focus Areas: water conservation, smart irrigation, AI/IoT monitoring, recycling, water-energy nexus, quality testing, decentralized rural solutions, and business model innovation.
Structure:
Outreach & Registration (Aug–Sep): Campaigns, applications, and guest speaker matchmaking.
Blended Bootcamp (Sep–Oct): Webinars on AI, innovation, funding, and EU policy, plus EUD ambassador interview.
Hackathon Week (Oct 7–14): Teams develop prototypes, business models, and pitches.
Final Pitch Day (Oct 15): Keynotes, panels, and live pitching to jury. Top 3 receive prizes, mentorship, and incubation.
Post-Hackathon Clinics (Oct–Dec): Coaching, prototyping, and investor outreach.
Outcome: An empowered generation of Egyptian Waterpreneurs shaping AI-driven, sustainable water solutions with EU support.
