The High-Level Joint Water and Agriculture Technical Committee 7th Meeting

The 7th Meeting of the High-Level Joint Water and Agriculture Technical Committee, organized by the League of Arab States, will be held on 14 October 2025 at the Triumph Hotel in New Cairo as part of Cairo Water Week. Building on the outcomes of the previous six meetings, particularly the sixth held in October 2024, the Committee will review progress on key areas including the implementation of the Cairo Declaration 2024 Action Plan, the use of non-conventional water resources in agriculture, sustainable water allocation practices, geospatial data applications, and climate resilience. Chaired by H.E. Prof. Ibrahim El-Dokheiri and Dr. Mahmoud Fathallah, the meeting will feature technical presentations from FAO, ESCWA, AOAD, and ACSAD, and aims to propose further recommendations to advance water and agriculture integration across the Arab region.
