Unlocking Investment for water and sanitation in Africa

As Africa’s only continental WASH accelerator, the African Water Facility (AWF) is uniquely positioned to meet the growing demand for project preparation and implementation, and to promote transformative investment opportunities that support sustainable development across the continent. This Investment Promotion event will showcase AWF grant-funded, bankable projects—either investment-ready or at various stages of development—and highlight selected flagship Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) initiatives across Africa. The event is designed to attract and engage investors with a strategic interest in the water and sanitation sector, and to mobilize greater participation from both public and private international finance institutions. This showcase comes at a critical time, as WASH plays a vital role in achieving international development goals and in strengthening climate resilience across the continent.
