Dr. Mohie El Din Omar is a Research Associate - Soil, Water, and Agronomy Team at ICARDA. He earned his Doctor of Engineering Science (Dr.-Ing.) in Irrigation and Hydraulics from Department of Hydrosystems Modelling and Water Resources Management, Technische Universitaet Berlin (TU Berlin), Germany, Master of Science in Water Resources Management from Lüneburg University, Germany, Diploma in Water Resources and Hydrology from Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, Egypt, and B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, Egypt. Previously, he occupied several positions as Associate Professor, Researcher, Lecturer, Project Manager, and Consultant at the National Water Research Center in Egypt, Faculty of African Graduate Studies at Cairo University, UNESCO-IHP, GIZ, UNESCO-IHE, Leibniz Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research in Germany, Technische Universitaet Berlin in Germany, Modern University for Technology and Information in Egypt, National Water Resources Plan for Egypt Project, Planning Sector of MWRI-Egypt.
